Kevin Curameng
Bass Guitar
 
  Kevin left college in 1977 to play Bass in Rock Cover(Inertia),
Blues(Ravenswood Manor Band) & Wedding Bands(Auburn) until re-entering college in 1985.
Concentrating on his studies, he put his bass away until after Graduation, and
didn't play again until joining a Motown R&B group(Melody Makers) in 1991 for one year.
He played a brief time in a cover band(Beat's Me?) around 1992.
 
After that, Kevin put his bass away again and started a family.
Kevin didn't play in another band until Head First formed in 1998.
 
  His primary influences are Motown, Classic Rock, Blues & Big Band/Swing music.
 
  Kevin's favorite bands are "Anything Motown", as well as
The Beatles, Chicago, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Styx, The Who, Yes & Stevie Ray Vaughn.
 
  Favorite Bass Players: "...so many great ones...Really like the innovators of their time;
James Jamerson, Paul McCartney, John Entwhistle, Chris Squire
John Paul Jones, Billy Sheehan, Geedy Lee & Stanley Clarke.
Donald "Duck" Dunn is great, and
Les Claypool or Flea really make me smile when I listen to them".
 
  Kevin's Equipment:
A Claro Walnut 2002 Peavey-USA Cirrus 5-String Bass,
A Quilt-Top Tiger Eye 2005 Peavey-Indonesia Cirrus BXP 5-String Bass,
Various Craftsman Drills, Saws, Hammers, Ratchets, Pliers & Screwdrivers,
Ping G2 Irons, Ping M/B Wedges and Ping G2 17-4 Metal Woods
Along with a Ping G2i Craz-E Putter.
Kevin doesn't use picks.
 
Kevin's Bass Amplifier is a SWR Workingman's 4004 Series Bass Head,
Which drives a pair of SWR Son of Bertha III (1x15) Pro Cabinets.
